Fairfield County Center for Housing Opportunity

The Fairfield County Center for Housing Opportunity (FCCHO) brings together a diverse coalition of practitioners, policy makers, residents, community organizations and partners across sectors to build capacity, align resources and change the conversation around housing affordability in Fairfield County. Fairfield County Talks Housing

Fairfield County Talks Housing is an ongoing series of fact-based, community-led conversations about housing and other related topics in Fairfield County, Connecticut. In 2021, these meetings connected hundreds of citizens and dozens of officials and experts to provide Fairfield County residents the information they need to make informed choices and decisions about housing in their community. Participating towns include Ridgefield, Fairfield, Darien, New Canaan.

Housing Equity Coalition

The Housing Equity Coalition initially formed in order to exchange information and resources during the period when the state rental assistance program, UniteCT, was functioning. Once the UniteCT program initially closed in February of 2022, we recognized the group ought to continue. The purpose of the Housing Equity Coalition is now to connect individuals to information, education and resources related to housing in the Fairfield County area, and to tell our stories, which help break down stereotypes and reveal the reality behind housing challenges. behind The Coalition hopes to expand the work we’re doing with constituents across the state.
